I really loved the flow with this tool on the Afrika day, thx Anne!!
As a journalist I think ICT playes a valuable role in connecting different worlds through, for example, weblogs. Share your thoughts and stories to create mutual understanding between different cultures.
As an African student here in The Netherlands,my daily use of ICT has really improved my performance at school and also created a world for me just at my back yard.
I am very pleased and satisfied with the whole variables involved in the ICT world and encourage all African student to cultivate the habit of using the resource tools involved in our new world.
I make my living by using ICT. As a journalist I use internet and outlook on a daily basis, communicating with my colleagues and people I need for my work. With internet I feel I have the world at my feet. In my private life I use Facebook to communicate my old school friends who live all over the world.
And of course, there is my mobile phone. I use it to call friends and contacts.
It's very strange, ten years ago all I used was a chat programme called ICQ and used the internet a little bit for aquiring knowledge. Now I really can't live without it: I send emails, post news items for the organisation I work at and I try to keep up to date with current affairs (not to mention my very very frequent facebooking in the evening and on Saturday and Sunday.....)
ICTenables you to gain various insights and thus build up your knowledge. How do you use ICT to gain knowledge about various topics?
I made my dream become reality ! I always really liked to film people and animals in different parts of the world and now that's what i earn money doing ! I went to school to learn how to film and also edit the material on my computer. Actuaaly i spent most of my time in front of the computer and my boyfriend feels neglected :) one of my favorite films is 1 Giant Leap, see http://tinyurl.com/dzc6cm
Hi, I am Patrick from Holland. I travelled the world and seen a lot of countrys. When I see information about these country's on the internet and have contact by email it makes it all really real. My question to you is: do you think the information on the internet about your county or town give the right image of what it really is?
good day
I'm here with my sister gonny and we are enjoying this day very much.
How are you there?
In my daily working life I use ICT a lot to communicate with people in the countries I am working with on large tuberculosis projects. With email we can sent documents to for example Pakistan, Iran. If we would sent those documents by regular mail it would take us many more days before our partners receive the document.
Hi, I'm Alice from Holland with my daughter Ianthe on Africaday. I use to give dental help in the Gambia so we know a little about Africa and chat a lot on msn with the people we have come to know there. It;s cheaper than the phone and as direct and with a webcam you can even see eachother like you are in the other room.
ICT helps me a lot when I am making research work, it also helps me to communicate with pals in other country.
Indeed it has improved global learning such as the learning of the cultures of other neighbours without visiting their countries. However, the only disadvantage is that there are pornographic sites on the net.

ICT is just in any moment of your life you just do not notice it anymore. It is improving daily communication, making it possible to be in contact even if you are not in the same room. ICT is not making your life less human. ICT makes you more responsible of what you are doing, why, when and with whom. Your own choice to accept a phone call (or not) when sitting with friends or colleagues!
Hello Ghana! Have you got the feeling that ICT also changed your social life? If so, in what way? Does it change friendships?
i use the computer to do my homework
I use the internet a lot to connect to people, especially friends abroad. I use facebook to talk to my friends all over the world and also skype which is very easy to use and free for everybody. This saves you a lot of money on phone calls :)
I use ICT a lot in my daily life. I am a webmaster at ICCO ;-) Therefore there isn't a day without using the internet, haha
But also in my personal life I use internet and ICT a lot. Making digital movies/photoshows etc. Also I am connected all the time with Ngaari Laaw in Senegal. (www.ngaarilaaw.com)

Hello Ghana again! I changed the topic. If you have any thoughts about it, we are curious to find out.
